Our Story

Genesis

BrokenFork began with a simple idea by its founder, Danny Strong, an entrepreneur and investor in real estate. Could we create unique, crafted homes and buildings that people truly love and can afford at the same time?

Danny believed that there was a market for people who want quality, afforable and crafted homes. We met many people disenchanted with "cookie-cutter" homes lacking any soul. People ought to love their homes or offices and feel a sense of pride. Additionally, it should be possible to make them an asset to the neighborhood, involve local materials and artists, and incorporate environmentally-sound practices.

A creative person by nature, Danny assembled a team of contractors and craftsmen to put this vision in motion and work on some speculative homes. These homes were in progressive, downtown neighborhoods but otherwise beyond consideration by many homeowners--until BrokenFork took them on. Needless to say, consumers loved our fresh approach to design and soon called these projects home.

Growth

As we validated our concepts and techniques on early projects, we attracted the attention of homebuyers, business owners and investors. The market for crafted spaces was a lot greater than even we could have predicted. As time passed, we were able to further our progress by taking on more and more projects while our team grew.

The Future

We look forward to the many opportunties that lie ahead. As the economy changes, there is more of a demand than ever for quality over quantity. Cities are beginning to grow from the inside, rather than spread out and generate urban sprawl. BrokenFork will continue to create more cool, unique places that serve homeowners and businesses.
