Green & Energy Efficiency

In our projects we strive to make every reasonable effort to produce a green, energy-efficient space. We want to be good stewards of the environment, so we install new, high-efficiency appliances and heating & cooling systems. Additionally, we insulate to minimize thermal losses.

Another green practice is avoiding the use of cheaper vinyl and plastic products in siding, countertops, carpeting and flooring. Studies have shown that those materials break down and release unhealthy volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the air. Plus, heavy amounts of petroleum are used to make plastics, so we strive to use natural and renewable resources such as wood, metal, stone, concrete and fabrics. It may cost a little more in the short run, but the long-term benefits are enjoyed over and over.
